Help us continue to help ponies like this
Over the years we have enabled the ponies that arrive into our care to flourish.
Below are just a few of the special souls that call BMPR home......

On arrival 2104
Phoenix
One of our founding 4 & to this day possibly the worst case of neglect we have ever experienced. Phoenix was never expected to survive due to the severity of her emaciation however, she, like her namesake rose from the ashes of what she was & overcame every challenge bestowed on her to become the beautiful soul she is today!

Today...
Phoenix
Phoenix, our figurehead & matriarch, the true essence of who & why we are. She remains a permanent resident due to her sensitive nature & lives as natural a life as we can provide within a domesticated environment. Phoenix flourishes just being horse & we fully respect her choice to be just that!

On arrival 2014
Rebel
Another of our founding 4 herd members. Rebel was severely emaciated & inherently wild. He struggled with trust of both humans & equine companions, ultimately choosing the human folk over others of his own kind for the first few years of his rehabilitation. Over time & with gentle desensitisation he now enjoys sharing his time with one or two companions but struggles with larger groups & stronger characters.

Today....
Rebel
Dear sweet Rebel, the kindest & sweetest soul you could meet. He remains as a permanent resident due to his extreme sensitivities that require significant management. It has been a labour of love & he will undoubtedly always be a work in progress but that's ok & we ask nothing more of him however he has grown & flourished in ways we never imagined possible.

On arrival in 2015...
Skye
Skye joined us in April 2015 with her mother Ruby. Both ponies were severely neglected & malnourished & devastatingly just a couple of weeks after finding sanctuary, Skye was orphaned when Ruby sadly passed away. Skye soon learned to accept the humans & her trust quickly grew, allowing her to flourish & become the strong mare she is today.

Today.....
Skye
Skye remains in our permanent care due to long term health issues that require constant management.
She is a beautiful, bold & confident mare. She has become Rebels long term companion & lives a happy & carefree life at HQ
